How should I store my apples at home?


Ideally the best place to store apples is in the salad chiller in the refrigerator, removing sufficient for anticipated use the day before to attain room temperature. Eating Discovery shortly after removing it from the chiller delivers a fresher taste and improves texture. Very few varieties can be put straight into the fruit bowl in ambient conditions, but Braeburn with its long shelf life is one.
